Inclusion Grows, Where Kindness Lives

About

See Us, Help Us is dedicated to creating inclusive public spaces for autism families. Our initiative fosters awareness and understanding by encouraging communities to recognize and support those with autism through simple yet impactful actions.

Awareness

Understanding autism starts with awareness. Through education and visual cues like our lanyards and placards, we empower communities to recognize the unique needs of autism families and respond with kindness and support.

Adaptation

Every family’s needs are unique, and so is our approach. We work with businesses to create adaptable solutions that ensure comfort, accessibility, and a sense of belonging for all families navigating autism in public spaces.

Participation

Change happens when we all take part. Whether you’re a business, volunteer, or community member, your support helps foster inclusive environments where everyone feels seen and valued. Join us in making a difference today.

Our Mission, in Action

Empowering caregivers to create autism-friendly spaces with ease.

The Lanyard –

Your Signal for Support

The See Us, Help Us lanyard is for caregivers, not the individual with autism. It signals the need for understanding in public spaces where children may be unable to communicate their needs.

Why Inclusion Matters…

How See Us, Help Us Is Making a Difference

Through our wearables and store placards, we aim to create public spaces where autism families feel seen, supported, and respected.

Our initiative encourages stores to recognize the challenges caregivers face and take small but meaningful steps toward inclusivity.

For many autism families, visiting public places like grocery stores and shopping centers can be overwhelming and isolating. Sensory overload from bright lights, loud noises, and crowded spaces can trigger anxiety and meltdowns, making even simple errands challenging. The fear of judgment and misunderstanding from others often forces families to avoid public outings altogether, limiting their access to essential services and social interactions. In fact, over 80% of caregivers report feeling unwelcome in these spaces due to a lack of awareness and accommodations. Without proper understanding and support, everyday activities that others take for granted become stressful and exhausting experiences for autism families, highlighting the urgent need for more inclusive environments.”
